This is the hat for bitter mornings: the school run in sleet, a windy walk along the seafront, a long wait on a cold platform. The ear flaps with braided ties come down over your ears, and inside every hat is a fluffy white fleece lining.
The outer is knitted from alpaca wool mixed with synthetic fibres for durability, softness and easy washing, with fair isle bands in each colourway. It is one size fits all and goes in the washing machine.
